You must have a permanent residency card (green card) that provides you the
right to live and work in the U.S. permanently in order to qualify for Homestead Exemption.

Pursuant to Florida Statute 196.011 (11), social security numbers are required for the applicant and/or applicant’s spouse in order to be granted a homestead exemption.
The information contained in this application will be provided to the Department of Revenue. The Department and/or the
Property Appraiser are authorized to provide this information to any state in which the applicant has previously resided,
pursuant to 196.121, Florida Statutes. Social Security Numbers will remain confidential pursuant to sections 193.114(5) and
193.074, Florida Statutes.
It is extremely important that you provide an email address so that you will receive confirmation and / or
subsequent emails with additional information, forms, or applications related to additional exemptions.
